Word To Herbert
Hi Hollerers.

I'm busy working on a House music party for all you heads out there that are in dire need of some deep, soulful, drum lines for your feet. Me personally ... I need this party because it'll break up the monotony of playing the same records week in, week out. Plus, there's something about House music that you just can't get with anything else. It's like ... combine the emotion of "Ordinary People" with the dance floor power of, say, "Hot Music," and then you kind of see what I mean. I know, I know. Enough with the John Legend track already, but honestly? It still deserves its place on my list above. An original track with no synthetic beats, no hooks, no samples, no naked chicks, no dances, just pure love and life and the piano and vocals and no wonder why it's such a great song.

Last week, I was proven innocent and the judge tore up my $150 parking ticket. I HATE meter maids and ticket writers. I think they're the lowest of the low, but then I remember that they're just keeping order and enforcing the law and it's necessary. But is it really necessary to slap a cement-glue poster on my window?? Not only will the whole world see that I got in the way of the so-called street "cleaner" (they don't even use soap!), but now I'm going to have get a bottle of rubbing alcohol, a razor blade, and spend 15 minutes getting it off my car?

Anyways, back to the ticket. It was $150, and it was forgiven because the maid was in the wrong. Ha ha! JERKS! I'd like one of those big stickers so I can slap it on the back of the maid who tried to get me to pay the city money for a crime I wasn't guilty of. Then he/she can take it home and spend a good 30 minutes in the bathroom trying to get it out, or at least pay the laundromat $10 to do it. And on the way home, everyone can see that this meter maid incorrectly write parking tickets.

Next up, EZ Pass. How DARE they tell me I have to pay 25 extra dollars for accidentally using their toll lane without a thing in my window? It was only 70 cents!!!! And the only reason I was forced to use their lane was because nowadays you only have one lane for people who don't have allergic reactions to using real money, and to get in the right one, you have to run other cars off the road once you figure out that your lane is all the way opposite where you are. Isn't that illegal? I mean, isn't EZ Pass responsible for the dangerous driving conditions due to their toll booth monopoly? Do I have a case? Any lawyers out there??? Get at me. Let's make this money!

Big up to Marlon B, Puerto Rico Rob, DJ Wonder, Jigga Man himself and the rest of the crew at 40/40 Monday Night for Cipha Sounds' birthday soiree. I really kind of like 40/40, and not because it's so cool, or because the big man owns it, or even because the music's so good. I like it because it seems to be the only nice place music industry folks can go and not feel like they're being watched by management, or that they have to be on their guard if they're not drinking Grey Goose.
