What's In Your Deck #9

Your Top 5 Music Picks
1. Beanie Sigel f. Grand Puba and Sadat X–"Bread and Butter"
I didn't know Beans had it in him, but this album is his best one yet. This is my favorite song right now (although I'm sure next week will be another one... it's that good!). Also, it was great to hear Puba rock the mic as well.

2. Ledisi f. Boney James–"My Sensitivity"
I'm usually not into the new cool jazz, but I love Lesidi singing on this Luther Vandross remake.

3. 112–"What If"
The last 112 album was just so-so (they would say the same), but this album is damn near classic. There's so many tight tracks, it was hard to narrow it down to a favorite.

4. Mike Jones–"Back Then"
I'm really feeling this song. He's talking about how back in the days no one would even look at him, but now that he has an album out even with his "same pot belly" everybody wanna holla. This is the first time (I can think of) where an artist samples one of his own songs ("Still Tippin'").

5. The Dears–"Lost in the Plot"
Reminiscent of the 80's Punk Rock days. You can rock out to the entire album (No Cities Left), although this song is more on the alternative side.

Bonus. Yukmouth & C-Bo (as Thug Lordz) f. Bang’em Smurf and Domination–"He Ain’t A Thug"
Best 50 cent diss that I've heard to date! "He ain't a thug, that n**ga need a hug!"

Let's see, the latest playlist on my ipod includes:

1. Cassidy - I'm a Hustla
2. Ghost Face Killa - Cherchez LaGhost
3. N.W.A - Dopeman (Remix)
4. B.D.P - My Philosophy (I think very deeply-lol)
5. E.P.M.D - So What You sayin

6. Illycal - 10 Fingers In The Sky. (That Illycal is a beast on the mic!)

If you haven't noticed i'm stuck on old school. Not a lot of stuff out right now really moves me. And the stuff that does, i've spun over and over again so I bumps that old school sh!t.

I agree with the "Mike Jones sucks" comment. I think oboy is trash can to.

This is my top 5 but in no particular order.
1.Bruce Hathcock(unsigned):Father
"Father" is on of the most original and heart felt songs from a person in need of help. i hope more people hear this gem.

2.BG(koch):Where Da At
I hate most southern rappers. but this song is beyond ill you have to experience it.

3.Bloc Party(vice):Blue Light
I normally avoid the "it" groups. with that said this song sounds how love should feel; crowded with space, soulfully deep, longing, etching.

4.AFI(dreamworks):Leaving song pt 2
if you have never imagined runnin down the hall of your highschool ripping down the the homecoming banner in angst. listen to that song and enjoy that feeling. its a punk song so most would feel it but for those that do; man

5.De La Soul(sanctuary): Its Like That
Featuring Carl Thomas. This song should be required listening. De La masterfully sheds light on the contributions of black youth on the fabric of this countries culture.

Well my top 5 are albums not songs and not in any particular order.

1. Dynasty Enteprise: "Underground Mixtape Vol.3"
Featuring all of the hottest new freestyles and remixes. Go 2 www.soundclick.com/dynastyenterprise to listen.

2. Beanie Sigel: "The B Coming"
I think this is Sigel's best album to date. I wish he was out to promote it b/c it could easily go platinum.

3. T.I. "Urban Legen"
This damn CD is still in my deck and will be here a long ass time. Hell yeah I'm rollin with tha King.

4. Pastor Troy: "Face Off Pt.2"
Gotta bump P.T. This is an independent album which is good b/c P.T. is going back to his roots. Universal shoulda cashed in on him.

5. The Game: "The Documentary"
This is a classic. It's not even no need to go in depth cuz its one of the best albums that has been released thus far.
