My friend and I played musical trivia recently and I've been playing this song ever since. This 90's classic straight reminds me of hot summers in Philadelphia, eating hoagies, drinking Tahitian Treat Soda, and $0.25 chips.
"A hidden gem" from a dope group indeed....Angie Stone's early days.

Dwight Trible: The greatest male Jazz singer alive! He's better live as well, but the album doesn't disappoint either!

Eric Roberson just did a show here in LA and after the show I felt like I did when I saw Prince 3 weeks ago... he brought Rachelle Ferrell up on stage and she SHUT IT DOWN... they're collaborating on her new album and I am truly scared to think of how dope thats gonna sound...
Amp Fiddler is the truth.
Dwight Tribble (POPS) is very tight
Van Hunt was so dope live that I can't listen to his CD anymore. its just not the same.
Ayanna Gregory (daughter of Dick Gregory) opened for Eric - she's a breath of fresh air...
also:
Sy Smith/Star 69
Kim Hill
Keon Bryce
W. Ellington
Crystal Johnson (the female version of Eric Roberson)
Yeah, Miss M, I thought Ayanna Gregory was tight as well, but I couldn't find any links, so I didn't add her to my list! Her voice....whew, great! I was mos def feeling her!
And what is up with Ms. Crystal Johnson? I still bump her "I got the blues" single, but haven't heard anything recent.
Posted by babygirl at July 10, 2004 07:45 AMi have Crystal's whole album (2001), and she has a new EP finished... i'll burn it for you.

Eric Roberson KILLED it at the Temple Bar show in Los Angeles...i don't know if the Little Temple show the next night could compare? His "encore" had Rachelle Farell, Kenny Latimore, Sy Smith, N'dabi, and Ayanna Gregory ALL on stage at once...woah.
Also, this kid out of Los Angeles, Damon Cooper, is on the come up...
