I need some ideas for new content areas for this board. The old one's were cool but we should think about a broader range of topic areas. Any sugestions...

Possible Ideas:

- a section where we can all dissect lyrical content. (quotable of the week)

- a 'hot or not' type section where we rate new releases (music, movies, books etc.)

- help wanted section for (want ads)

- a section where we can discuss a specific business model within the industry and offer ways to improve it.

- a section possibly entitled 'next level' where we can discuss the future of the industry relative to new artists, contracts, art depts., pay rates, etc.

- a "hottie" of the week section (something for the boys)

- a section where we can compare beats of the "producers" on this site

How about a "How to break into..." feature for people who are up and coming (highschool age/college etc.)

For instance people who are interested in getting into fashion, the entertainment industry, public relations, event planning, sports management etc. but don't know how

New Section - Falling Up

posts on the means and ways kats in the industry manage to fall up, so heads can learn from them.

New Section - Ubiquity

posts to correspond to the photo gallery and the pictures of the same individuals who are at every party and people can discuss what the hell do they do and why they are out all the time. (there are those 2 sister chicks with the big crazy eyes and wild hair, you know!)

New Section - Petition

area where people can post petitions for certain causes and members can sign. Example: (Fill in the Blank) Go Away Petition (artists that need to stop); Refund (demands for refunds for shitty product pushed on the street that someone unsuspecting purchased); Pink Slip (demands for executives to be fired for gross incompetency [starting with everyone at BET] ).

What we need is a "beef" section.

Possibly titled: "In This Corner"

This way, as soon as a discussion gets heated in "The Business" section the members can nominate the arguing parties for the "In This Corner" section.

The arguing parties can duke it out in the room and they're limited to a maximum of 5 posts to get their shots in.
The room can be announced, narrated, and refereed by FastLance. (I'm sure he'd enjoy that)

I think rather then spen money and tiome on columns you should have user driven cont i.e slashdot or *gasp* BP

let the users set up there stories will full html an dwhatever on the boards and then set up a script that places the content with ethe most activity as a call to action on teh home page with a thumbnail images etc

I mean the crusade is sort of user driven when it comes to discussion so i think it should stay that way

fashion , music humor wtc are good ideas but the idea of countinng on one person for content bothers me since people can be hit or miss
