This position lead the ADR staff in creating targeted national and regional marketing programs and promotions that drive consumer behavior in support new releases and developing artist sales. 1. Manage and ensure training for staff. Hire, train and develop ADR staff. Conduct regular informal and formal (annual) reviews with staff members. Develop and implement procedures for the ADR staff that relates to account visits, promotions, artist appearances and mailers. Monitor ADRs monthly objectives and oversee submission of monthly report. Maintain field activity tracking of inventories, visibility and promotions. Develop and participate with staff, presentations for account visits, regional retail meetings and customer conventions. 2. Develop and Manage National and Regional Marketing Programs and Promotions. Lead the ADR team in developing marketing strategies with specific emphasis on developing and executing new release and breaking artist action plans. Analyze, assess and evaluate all marketing opportunities making sure that they are consistent with EMM and Label goals. Work in conjunction with Regional Director in developing the ad plans for the sales and marketing teams. Coordinate and develop marketing campaigns for vital and all local customers. Lead regular staff meetings and conduct brainstorming sessions to identify local, regional and national marketing opportunities in support of Artist Development priorities. Oversee and manage artist tour support, marketing, advertising, visibility, in stores and contests. Manage and coordinate use of marketing tools including POP, merchandisers, value ads, and contest items. Work with Major Account Group to ensure regional marketing opportunities are executed in conjunction with Major Account Group priorities. Exploit consumer oriented cross-promotional opportunities, including non-traditional retailers, to enhance and maximize EMM priorities with the market. Responsible for the procurement and administration of marketing/advertising funds for new releases, current projects, developing artists, tours, and catalogs. Ensure the creation of marketing and merchandising materials that effectively communicate EMMs message to accounts and consumers. 3. Responsible for achieving monthly objectives. Work six days per month in the field with the ADRs. Execute a minimum of one regional marketing promotion with a 3rd party/non-music retailer per month. Develop two new viable marketing contacts per month. Execute one regional music retail promotion per month. Manage marketing budget within assigned amount. Achieve national monthly sales objectives. 4. Responsible for relationship management. Develops and maintains productive relationships with account base, EMM field staff, Major Account Group, EMM home office staff, and label sales and marketing staff. Ensures that all issues or problems encountered in these relationships are resolved with emphasis on satisfaction for both parties.
Requirements
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities, required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Dynamic leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others. Organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and creative ability. Knowledge of MS Outlook, Work Database Marketing, Excel and Graphics programs. Working knowledge of Intranet, Extranet and Internet. Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience, required. Minimum 4 5 years of experience in music, promotions, retail marketing organization, required. Background in music industry, strongly preferred. Computer skills to include Word and Excel, required. Some travel required (30%), required.
