WTF?? Tell these mofos to stop calling me! If I had your money, I would pay you. Since I don't have it, you don't get paid. Simple!!

They give me no problems...but then again I HAVE moved 3 times since I took the loan...

But they have always been helpful with deferments and such.

Don't have any problems with Sallie Mae, but I do have a problem with all the other no-name loan servicers constantly calling about consolidation. Everyday it's the same thing. "This is Scholastic Funding." "This is Intercollegiate Endeavors." Or whatever the hell else they call themselves.
I need to get that "do not call list" number.

Exactly. I been consolidated. I finally stopped getting the letters a while back (of course now that I mentioned it I'll probably have like 20 when I check my mail this evening). But, the calls keep coming.
It's to the point that I now answer the -800 calls like "I've already consolidated. I'm no longer in school. I don't plan on returning. And I didn't leave out any feedral loans."

Yeah, I got those consolidation things in the mail, phone calls from those companies and I'm like, "I consolidated almost a year ago. Didn't you get the freakin memo??". I'm glad that y'all don't have problems with Sallie Mae cause that ho won't leave you alone! Let's just say that my law school was waaaayyyy more than I could afford then and waaaayyyy more than what I can afford to pay back.

You need to work out soemthing with them because if you don't do a deferrment or lower monthly payments or interest-only or something they WILL fuck up your credit.

sallie mae ain't the feds, but if you call them from work, they will trace that and go behind your back and speak with your employer, especially if you are behind. <<
i'm facing an ultimatum on tommorrow. thanks to my non - paying clients. They left a threatening message.

the key is to call them just as much, or even more, than they call you.

FOR THOSE OF YOU GOING THRU THIS PROBLEM, WOULDNT IT BE NICE IF THERE WAS A CUSTOM FEATURE ON YOUR HOUSEPHONE THAT ALLOWED YOU TO PROGRAM IT SO THAT IF A SPECIFIC NUMBER CALLED THAT IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER THE CALL RIGHT BACK TO THEM. THAT'S LIKE THEY CALLING THEMSELVES

I WONDER IF THEY'D LEAVE A MESSAGE.

BUT I BET THAT THEY'D TAKE YOU OFF THAT LIST QUICK.
OR IF YOU COULD AUTOMATICALLY FORWARD ALL 800 NUMBERS TO A 900 SEX LINE. THEY WOULD GET FIRED OVER MAKING SEX CALLS.

default on one of the federallyoriginated loans and find out how quickly the feds will get involved.
they "cut their ties" with the feds in 2004.... but don't trust the "independence".
don't mess with the feds.
