I recall when you first joined the board all of the hoopla surrounding your consistent posting on the topic of homosexuality. Even after all of the criticism and abuse you have faced on this board from the majority of members who have stated that they are not interested in this subject constantly being thrown in their face you still insist on posting about it.
I finally figured out why you do this on TC despite the opposition you have faced from the board. "Big Fish/Small Pond" Syndrome. If you were to go on a gay website and post would you necessarily get as much attention as you do on here?
Before you scream gay bashing I am not homophobic. I have been one of your earliest supporters since you joined this board. I just simply refuse to believe that you are as myopic in your outlook in life as what you choose to represent through your posts on TC and it is irritating to watch everyone be played like a violin to your insatiable need for attention.
I know you must talk about interests other than gay this and gay that with others in your life but perhaps you feel that if you shared them with us on the board you are afraid that you will fade into obscurity.
Come on John! Certainly you have encountered straight people in your life before TC...Why do you have to use us as your guinea pigs to determine what the heterosexual perspective is on homosexuality? Haven't you had these exact same conversations ad nauseam in your "real" life? Why do you feel a need to replay them on this board?
This post isn't just a beef about your threads; it's just that your posts just highlight my real issue.
I am only asking you these questions because it just seems to me that TC has been deviating from the original purpose in which it was created: to be a site where entertainment folks or folks that hoped to get into the entertainment world could shoot the breeze and network. There has been an overrun of postings on this board which makes it seem much less about business and much more about general issues. Which is fine I guess, if that is what people want. I just wonder how much longer the board will survive if it continues to evolve along this direction...
Am I the only one noticing the change in the number of postings that are related to The Business?
Does anyone else see the dropoff in the number of members visiting the site on a regular basis?
How much longer will Ray continue to receive sponsored support for TC if the membership continues to drop off?
Can we talk about this?
