bklyn im really fond of u, but that remark was kinda insensitive...u cant say that someone wasn't abused...speaking from a personal aspect, i didnt get my ass beat, i spent days in hospitals bcuz of the things my father did 2 me...a belt was mellow comparing 2 everything else he came at me with...i was abused, became a ward of the state until i got myself emancipated...so 4 u, it was just ass whuppings, thankfully, but it wasnt that way 4 everyone else mama...
side note: just the other day one of my students had an an iron imprint on her back...and her mother felt that she was justified in doing so because she was skipping school...now u tell me....

I was having a convo w/ one of my guy friends and he asked about a homegirl of mine, she was born in cali and I said, "Yeah she might move back to Cali once she's married and more settled down." Mind you, she has neither boyfriend nor fiance. And dude went off -- "Why do women always plan on getting married? Why do women try to plan their whole lives?"
So when y'all brought out the husband list, that was the first thing that came to mind. I never was attempting to insinuate that you don't use condoms or that you lack values or anything of the sort. But ever since my boy made his point -- I realized that women do way too much planning.
SOOOO before I get any more comments like "do you not get to know people... etc" or "do you not have expectations" Yes, I have high standards, values, morals etc. just like you, but I also live my life day by day and thank God for whatever he brings my way.
