the cycle of ignorance that i was referring to is where "ass whuppins" stemmed from...which is slavery...not just blacks, even b4 that when israelites where slaves...they were "whipped" as a form of punishment...2 me thats ignorant...and 2 follow that would be like following how things were back then and i wouldnt want that...my words may have been out of context and a bit offensive and 4 that i do apologize but my point is, abuse is ignorance and IMHO so is physical discipline...

Its a media twisted misconception. I'm not tryin to be funny (or offensive) but since you haven't attended any form of an organized religion, there's a quote in the bible that says "spare the rod and spoil the child".....and I'm quite sure that the bible was around well before the slavery that you're referring to was implemented.

BK...what u said was true so very true...but there is a thin line between ass whuppin and abuse...i was abused, point blank and i dont want that cycle 2 continue in my home...and yes i will be more careful with my assessments in the future...

Why do I feel noxious after drinking water in the morning
Have you ever noticed whenever you finally get a grip on life...like you've finally got your footing...EVERBODY elses life turns to shit. I mean EVERYONE close to me is going through some damn drama. Separations, problems at work, trifling/alcoholic/dumbass signifs, car problems, money problems etc. I have internalized their problems and made them my own to the point where I am not even sleeping well at night.
Is it selfish that I don't want to become emotionally involved in my people's problems right now? I feel like they are stealing my peace...and I just can't let that happen. I'm about to cut them ALL off for at least a month. Is that trife?
