My immediate family has been in Hammond for a couple of years now. Most of my family that were displaced by Katrina are in Baton Rouge and a few in Jefferson parish. And they ALL came to Hammond for thanksgiving.
I don't think it was the katrina aftershock as much as it was a miscommunication. They thought I was coming to visit them, when in actuality I was trying to vacation. First day was cool, even the second. But on that third day . . .
I never go see my family.....I'd come back and need about 20 extra therapy sessions.... I send my son down with a picture of me and an update. That's all they get. I have no patience for the bullshit!
My cousin just got engaged...and they decided they wanted me to come so they can discuss why I'm not married yet. Why my son has no siblings...etc.

RWC: If you sweat like a mo fo in your class, then you'll feel like you're doing Yoga in the Atlantic Ocean if you take Bikram. With Bikram Yoga, you can't eat for 2 - 3 hours before class (you can drink water though).
Big Vince: I'm glad I helped you out. You can take the class at Bally's or any other gym but MAKE SURE that the instructor is knowledgeable in alternative poses, especially if you have problems with bones or joints. That's why I don't feel comfortable doing yoga in a gym. Starting with the tape is a good way to go (I did the same). It makes you more comfortable for when you actually go into a class.
dreaded: your homegirl is making excuses. I don't think that she can do Bikram Yoga in a certain period of her pregnancy (I'll have to double check as to which trimester she will have to stop) but there are plenty of Yoga classes for pregnant women!! I'll give her a pass if none of those classes are available in the Atl. or if you tried to do this in a gym (they wouldn't have those type of classes anyway...too much to deal with).
OH yeah, dime is loca today...I ain't fucking with all that new and unknown technology they got in the airports...just because it's the WAR ON TERRORISM doesn't mean that the WAR ON DRUGS is over!
