Yeah we have a black female VP on my floor and she always give black men a hard time like she is trying to prove that we are gonna get any slack because we are black i guess trying to "teach us a lesson" but she is just making her self look bad and no one pays attention to her. it was really pissy at my job cuz the majority of the blacks on my floor didn't even work @ the same publication i was, but rarely spoke...the dudes spoke, but rarely the females...there was this one beeyatch who had locs too...i guess we were in some type of loc competition that i didn't know about cuz we would cross paths in the bathroom all the time and she rolled her eyes @ me every time....i knew more about the mail dudes than i did about the higher level black folks..

At my job or any law firm your best friends....or worst enemies depending on how you spin it is the mail room and duplicating.
I got the high and mighty Negro Syndrome when I worked in the financial sector but not in law. You can go years not knowing another blacks name but they always say hello.
Even the black lawyers.

im not really feeling in the christmas spirit yet either...there arent many houses decorated out here...guess cuz of wilma...the weather is like warm...and usually i love rubbing it in northerners face how warm it is down here ...but its adding 2 the not christmas feeling...

No matter where you work it is important to ALWAYS befriend at least one person who works in the following departments...
IT/Tech - so you can bypass administrative priveleges, and view whatever you want on your pc.
Mailroom/Copy - I swear they KNOW everything
Custodial/Maintannence - The only people who know more than the mailroom crew.

let me tell u, i despise it very much...but girl, i have a lil munchkin that deserves a wonderful christmas, so im trying 2 stay as positive as possible 4 him...hes a lot smarter this year, so he can sense if im sad...im just trying 2 splurge on him, so he'll be happy...that will make me happy...

basically it's jay-z the brand for sale. the right dollar sign means that jay-z will sign off on your product in hopes of all the jay-z slurpers will run out and purchase said product.

you don't need a marketing degree. some smarts, creativity, common sense, and a few books to read and you good to go.
